Joseph B. Reilly, Centrix Bank

Joseph B. Reilly is the co-founder and President/CEO of Centrix Bank, a commercial Bank serving the small business and professional sectors of Southern New Hampshire. Mr. Reilly is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the Bank’s efforts as it provides focused, customized, and highly responsive banking services to its customers. After opening its Bedford offices in 1999, Centrix Bank has expanded to full-service branches located in the City of Manchester, the City of Portsmouth, the Town of Milford, the City of Concord and the City of Dover, New Hampshire.

Mr. Reilly has 30 years of experience in the New Hampshire banking industry. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Lending Officer for a former “start-up” community Bank, known as Centerpoint Bank. Upon the acquisition of Centerpoint Bank, Mr. Reilly assumed a senior management position as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking with Bank of New Hampshire, an affiliate of the BankNorth Group, Portland, Maine. Prior to joining Centerpoint in 1990, Mr. Reilly was employed in various capacities for 12 years at Fleet Bank.

Mr. Reilly holds an MBA degree from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire. Mr. Reilly is a former: Chairman and Director of the New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA); Chairman of the NHBA Legislative Committee; State of New Hampshire Captain for Team 21, a national organization of the American Bankers Association (ABA); and, a member of the Government Relations Council of the ABA.

Locally, Mr. Reilly, was Chairman, and served on the Board of Directors of Catholic Medical Center, a large regional hospital organization. He was also Chairman of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and served on its Board of Directors. In addition, Mr. Reilly completed six years of service on the Board of Heritage United Way, including positions of Chairman and Annual Campaign Chairperson. He is an Incorporator and Chairman of the Manchester Regional Community Foundation, a local division of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Mr. Reilly also served as a member of the Bedford Economic Development Commission.

Mr. Reilly has been active in other community events, including the annual Bishops Fund, and has served on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations, The Way Home and The Manchester Community Music School. He has received several business and community awards, including the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce 2003 Small Business Person of the Year; the 2000 Community Banker of the Year by the New Hampshire Bankers Association; and recognition as one of New Hampshire’s “Leaders for the 21st Century” by Business NH Magazine in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Reilly was awarded the 2005 Entrepreneurial Venture/Creations Person of the Year Award from the UNH Whittemore School of Business and Economics.

Joseph B. Reilly resides in Bedford, New Hampshire with his wife, Venetia, and children.
