5 Ways to Support Your Small Business Community
While Practicing Social Distancing
These are rapidly changing circumstances and the Chamber is committed to being a resource during this challenging time. A key to success will be collaboration and supporting one another as a united community! Our efforts in days ahead will entail seeking to promote ways we can collaborate, partner and support each other.
We all feel somewhat powerless during these times, but we each still have the power to support local business. The collective impact of simple, individual actions cannot be underestimated. These actions can be the life preserver to keep our small businesses afloat during this unpredictable storm.
Please show your love by lifting up your favorite local establishments when they need it most:
1 – Purchase gift card(s) to be used at a later date.
2 – If you have tickets to cancelled entertainment, consider absorbing or deferring the cost instead of requesting a refund.
3 – Order take-out or delivery – and make sure to tip very generously.
4 – For services or memberships that you regularly buy, call to pre-pay your next booking. Look into whether some of these establishments are offering digital classes, such as an exercise class!
5 – Share praise for the businesses you love with a quick social post; encourage others’ support!
