Meet the Staff

Robin Comstock
President & CEO

Robin began her work in the field of chamber of commerce in 1988 as the Director of Membership for a 1,000-member organization. In 1995 she became Executive Director and CEO of a 450-member Chamber and later moved on to become President and CEO of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce a 1,000-member regional organization and now serves as President and CEO of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Robin sits on the Boards of Amoskeag Industries, INTOWN and the NH Philharmonic. Robin has a son and has been married for 30 years.

Ann Makowski
Chief Financial Officer

Ann joined the Chamber in 2001. Her primary responsibilities include financial planning and budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting. Ann’s experience includes ten years in financial modeling and analysis and five years as an independent accounting software trainer. She holds a B.S. degree from Bridgewater State College.

Gemma French
Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations

Gemma WaiteGemma joined the Chamber in  2009. Gemma is no stranger to the non-profit sector, prior to joining the Chamber she spent two years as the Public Relations and Marketing Director for the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America. While Gemma oversees all aspects of marketing and communications for the Chamber, her expertise is media relations as she spent six years as a broadcast journalist working both on camera and behind the scenes. Gemma is a graduate of Boston University.

Will Stewart
Vice President of Economic Development & Advocacy

Will Stewart joined the Chamber in August of 2011. As the Vice President of Economic Development and Advocacy, Will oversees all economic development initiatives for the Chamber, and represents the organization at City Hall and the State House on legislative issues. Prior to joining the Chamber staff, Will worked for NeighborWorks Greater Manchester, where he assisted residents in identifying and addressing quality of life concerns in their neighborhoods and across the city.  A native Southerner, he moved to New Hampshire in 2004 to take a job as a reporter for Hippo Press, where he covered Manchester politics, business and development. Will sits on the Friends of CHaD Board of Directors and serves as captain of the Oak Park Neighborhood Watch. He lives with his wife and young son in Manchester.

Shawnda Misina
Membership Director

Shawnda Misina joined the Chamber in 2009. Shawnda brings with her 16 years of sales and sales management experience in both the financial and industrial manufacturing sectors, of which she was utilized in corporate sales training for all new sales employees on the east coast. She brings this sensibility to the Membership Director role with a passion for enriching the membership experience for everyone involved.

Julie Picard
Program Director

Julie joined the Chamber in June of 2011. As program director she is responsible for planning and implementing the Chamber’s programs while serving as the liaison to all event committees. Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked as the assistant marketing director for a network of health clubs in southern New Hampshire. Julie has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations, gaining extensive experience in the facilitation of special events and fundraising. Julie graduated magna cum laude from High Point University with a BA in Strategic Communication.

Charlene Courtemanche
Senior Executive Assistant & Office Manager

Charlene Courtemache is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Chamber and provides full support to the President and Board of Directors. A New England native, she has a tremendous amount of expertise in the area of Chamber of Commerce work. Her experience includes more than eight years with the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Porstmouth Chamber of Commerce. Charlene is the proud mother of three children and equally proud grandmother of four grandchildren.

Alexandra Amadeo
Customer Relations Specialist

Alexandra “Alex” Amadeo joined the Chamber in September of 2011.  As the Chamber’s  customer relations specialist Alex provides the highest level of customer service to Chamber members and the public while supporting marketing, membership and programs. Alex is a 2011 graduate of Boston University where she received a B.A. in Political Science. Alex has worked as a field intern for the Human Rights Campaign in Washington D.C. and as a casework intern for a Member of Parliament in London. She is fluent in Spanish and is originally from Hooksett.

Tammy Boucher
Project Manager, Leadership Greater Manchester

Tammy BoucherTammy Boucher is President of Boucher Public Relations and brings her more than 18 years of experience in marketing and communications to her role managing the Chamber’s Leadership Program. Tammy is a magna cum laude graduate of the Honor’s Program at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Tammy was a reporter before becoming a strategic communications specialist and is using her expertise to build visibility for Leadership Greater Manchester-a program that has been making a positive impact on the community since 1986. Tammy is the proud wife of Stephen and mother of Cheyenne and Cove.
