Chamber Office Transformation Underway

As you may have heard or seen in recent days, the Chamber offices at 54 Hanover Street are undergoing a renovation and exciting transformation! As a reminder, the Chamber’s offices will be closed to the public during the renovations and the Chamber staff will be operating out of a temporary office.

All Chamber events, programs, and operations will continue as normal, however, events and programs normally held at the Chamber will be hosted at alternate locations. Additionally, members will be unable to reserve and use our conference room space during the renovation project. If you have any questions related to the office transition and meeting locations, please feel free to email!

Why is this transformation happening now?

This renovation project is happening now for two critical reasons. First, the Chamber has evolved substantially over the past decade, both operationally and strategically, and we needed to transform our office space to fit our new identity. This transformation entails ensuring our office space embraces and promotes our new branding, mission, and vision as well as supports our current staffing model and operational structure.

Secondly, and most importantly, we identified several key changes and improvements that would significantly enhance and transform the member experience when using the Chamber office. A core part of the Chamber’s mission and reason for being is we serve as a hub of connectivity where business and community leaders and elected officials come together to tackle the challenges and opportunities facing our community and region.

While our current office helped us fill this role well for the past ten years, it was time to enhance and update our space to ensure we remain a vibrant, welcoming, and dynamic community hub where leaders come together to collaborate. Our office transformation enhances our community hub role and the overall member experience with a new floor plan that expands meeting space options for events, workshops, receptions and will include new technology improvements integrated into the space. Members will continue to have the opportunity to reserve and utilize this enhanced space to fill their own business needs.

What’s next and when will the new office be ready?

Construction kicked off this week and is projected to run through early January 2020. The Chamber will be sharing regular updates as the project continues and will be sure to share more information on our “Grand Re-opening” and events we will have planned for early 2020 to introduce the new space to our members.

Thank you for your continued support and investment in the Chamber and we are thrilled to share this transformation with you. The enhanced value and impact of this new office space on our member experience and role we play as a community hub is truly exciting and will be a great way to kick off 2020!
