Carolyn Leary

Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Programs

“A key part about my role is that I get to connect every member with the Chamber in a way that it is meaningful to their business. Though for all, my job is to listen to our members and make sure they get the most value from their membership by knowing what is important to their business and making sure our programs and opportunities meet those needs.”

Carolyn Leary is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Programs at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, where she is responsible for Chamber events and programming. Carolyn also works with strategic partners in the community to further the mission of the Chamber and has been with the organization since 2015.

In addition to her work at the Chamber, Carolyn is also Vice Chair of Governor Sununu’s Millennial Advisory Council and serves on the FEEDNH.org Board of Directors, along with the advisory councils for the Manchester Young Professionals Network and Breakthrough Manchester. Carolyn is a Manchester native and a graduate of Gettysburg College and lives in Manchester with her husband.

What is an aspect of the Chamber’s work that you think is critical to the success of the community?

The Chamber works as a vehicle for our members to “shape their community”. This is one of the most important pieces of our mission and vision. With the Chamber giving every GMCC member an opportunity to sit on a committee discussing relevant and important issues, it helps our work-stay pertinent as the Manchester business community grows into the next era.

What place would you recommend people visit if they were new to Manchester or the region?

My husband and I love being outside so a perfect Manchester area day would be walking from the Millyard to Elm Street to get a coffee at Café la Reine, spending the day exploring one of the many hiking or fishing areas nearby and ending the day with dinner overlooking the vineyards at LaBelle Winery.

What is unique about your role at the Chamber?

A key part about my role is that I get to connect every member with the Chamber in a way that is meaningful to their business. Though for all, my job is to listen to our members and make sure they get the most value from their membership by knowing what is important to their business and making sure our programs and opportunities meet those needs.
