Lauren Getts

Director of Marketing & Communications

“A unique part of my role is getting a “behind-the-scenes” look at businesses within our community. I meet the people behind the company names and have the privilege of helping them share their stories.”

Lauren Getts is the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Greater Manchester Chamber, where she is responsible for reinforcing the Chamber’s position as a leader and forward thinker in the area’s evolving economy. Through both print and digitial publications and communications, Lauren ensures that the GMC brand represents a growing, modern organization that acts as a vital resource for Manchester business owners and residents. Lauren also works with numerous community partners to enhance tourism and positive storytelling of the greater Manchester area, and has been with the organization since 2015.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, with minors in Public Relations and Journailism, from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. She grew up in New Hampshire, and lives in Manchester with her husband, Joseph, and dogs, Dexter & Marty. Lauren is also a proud Big Sister for Big Brother Big Sister of New Hampshire, is a graduate of the Leadership Greater Manchester Class of 2016, and is the GMC Liaison to the Manchester Young Professionals Marketing Committe and the GMC Downtown Committee.

What is an aspect of the Chamber’s work that you think is critical to the success of the community?

The GMC brings value by creating opportunities to build the community. We give businesses, and the individuals that work for them, the opportunity to be a part of something bigger and develop valuable connections.

Where is place you would recommend people visit if they were new to Manchester or the region?

I would recommend that visitors take advantage of the season! Go shopping and dine outside in the summer, go hiking on a Rail Trail in the fall. Take advantage of McIntyre Ski Area in the winter, and on a rainy spring day, see a show at the Palace Theatre, tour a local brewery or visit a museum!

What is unique about your role at the Chamber?

A unique part of my role is getting a “behind-the-scenes” look at businesses within our community. I meet the people behind the company names and have the privilege of helping them share their stories.
