The Metro Center

Objectives

The goal of The Metro Center is to garner regional visibility and identity in order to influence surrounding communities to participate in this cooperative effort. The desired outcome of The Metro Center is to broaden the geographic influence of the Chamber and its members, and to sustain productive relationships in the communities within our region that we serve.

Strategy

  • Sustain and nurture a steering committee with Board members and regional stakeholders, including the Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) and the Southern New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission (SNHRPC).
  • Become visible and active in surrounding communities and local government.
  • Establish relationships that build a network among and between the Chamber and the regional communities we serve.
  • Continue to build upon our strong partnership with DRED and SNHRPC to promote the growth and recognition of The Metro Center.
  • Hold multiple roundtables, including an annual “Municipal Leadership Forum,” to build a foundation to accomplish the goals set forth for The Metro Center and select the areas of focus affecting the region, including the commuter rail system, community beautification, and public safety.
  • Develop an interactive website that is representative of all participating communities.
