Chester College of New England is a private, coeducational institution offering Bachelor's degrees in Photography, Studio Art, Graphic Design, Arts and Humanities, and Creative and Professional Writing. Enrollment is small by design, with a student/teacher ratio of 10:1. The College is located in Chester, a classic small, rural New England town. The campus buildings are a mixture of restored eighteenth-century houses and new buildings that preserve the feel of colonial New England.

Franklin Pierce is a four-year, coeducational, non-sectarian college with its main campus in Rindge NH. The Manchester campus is one of six satellite campuses and is situated in the 11,000 square foot facility of the Jefferson Mill, part of Manchester’s renovated millyard. The College offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The curriculum is a blend of traditional liberal arts, pre-professional study, teacher preparation programs, with all programs featuring an on-line component.

Granite State College (formerly CLL) provides flexibility, value and state-wide accessibility to higher education throughout New Hampshire for adult learners who seek alternatives to traditional campus-based programs. Because it serves learners where they live and work, Granite State College operates a network of nine statewide learning centers, and courses are offered at more than 40 additional community sites, as well as online.

Founded in 1900, Hesser College is a private, coeducational college, NEASC accredited with 950 students and an instructor/student ratio of 1 to 15. The College offers over 25 Associate Degree programs and Bachelor Degree programs in Accounting, Criminal Justice and Business Administration.

The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is a private coeducational college offering professional and pre-professional degrees in pharmacy and health sciences. Founded in 1823, it is well into its second century as the nation’s second oldest school of pharmacy and is the largest college of pharmacy in the United States. Programs offered through the Manchester campus include the Pharmacy and the Physician Assistant Studies Program.

Manchester’s Community College is one of seven colleges in the Community College System of NH. Manchester's Community College offers more than 40 certificate and degree programs and transfer options to four-year institutions. Flexible schedules provide for day, evening, weekend and online programs as well as hands-on training through laboratory and clinical time.

Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design, the New Hampshire Institute of Art offers the bachelor of fine arts degree with concentrations in painting, ceramics, photography and illustration. In addition, the Institute offers evening and weekend courses in photography, painting, ceramics, jewelry, metalsmithing, sculpture, interior design, drawing and illustration for adults and high school students who enroll in lifelong learning and certificate programs.

Saint Anselm College is a Catholic liberal arts college founded in 1889 by the Order of Saint Benedict. Noted for its challenging academic curriculum and nationally recognized Humanities Program, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 31 majors. The College is located on 400 acres overlooking Manchester and has just under 2,000 students.

Southern New Hampshire University is a private, coeducational institution offering associate and bachelor’s degrees in business, liberal arts and hospitality administration. An associate of applied science degree is also available in culinary arts and master’s degrees are available in education, business and business-related areas, liberal arts and hospitality administration. Doctoral degrees are offered in community economic development and international business. The university has over 100 full-time faculty, 1,200 undergraduate students and an average class size of 20.

Springfield College’s School of Human Services provides broadly accessible higher education in human services for adult learners. The Manchester campus overlooks the Merrimack River from its offices and classrooms in a renovated mill building. The undergraduate program offerings include a degree in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Addictions counseling. Masters degrees are also available. All classes are designed for working professionals.

UNH Manchester, the University of New Hampshire's urban campus, brings undergraduate, graduate and professional programs to the Merrimack Valley region of New Hampshire.
The college provides more than 1500 traditional college-age students and adults with access to a convenient, affordable university education designed to meet the unique requirements of commuting students. The city, state and region are extensions of campus and provide a unique learning laboratory where students develop knowledge in specialized fields of study along with an understanding of today's social, economic, political and culture issues.
