The NH Start Up Challenge is a business plan competition created in 2008 by the Manchester Young Professionals Network (MYPN) to connect entrepreneurs and social innovators with seed capital and key services to help them on their path toward sustainable growth. Through the Challenge, MYPN has helped to create business opportunities for young professionals and young companies alike. Furthermore, the Challenge encourages investment in New Hampshire’s early-stage companies and cultivates the state’s entrepreneurial culture.

Applicants submit their ideas to an esteemed panel of judges (past judges have included prominent investment bankers, venture capitalists, high tech experts, and leaders of non-profit organizations). Ultimately, one winner will be chosen to receive a prize package valued at approximately $50,000 in cash and professional services from Manchester-area businesses.

Those interested in attending the NH Start Up Challenge Final Event on Wednesday, May 16, should register at: At the Final Event, each of the finalists will pitch their ventures, the audience will hear keynote Jay Jacobs (founder of RAPID) tell his story of growing an incredibly successful business right here in New Hampshire, and the winner of this year’s Startup Challenge will be announced and awarded their prize.
