Manchester Young Professionals Team Up with Ancient Fire Mead and Cider

Ancient Fire Mead & Cider recently released MANCHBerry Lemonade, made in collaboration with the Manchester Young Professionals. This delicious new release,  a 7% ABV lemon and blackberry draft mead, will be available for the first time in Ancient Fire’s taproom on Thursday October 10th.

Members of the Greater Manchester Chamber program visited Ancient Fire in late September to learn about the Manchester business.  During their visit owner Jason Phelps shared that the young professionals were able to be a part of the meadmaking process as well. “We were excited to give them a tour and explain our experience as a craft beverage business in the city. The attendees had some great questions and loved getting hands on with the process by preparing the fresh lemon and blackberrries to add to the mead.”

Jason, along with his wife and co-owner Margot, see educating and sharing their passion for their meads and cider as one of the biggest pleasures of owning a craft beverage business. “Being in a city like Manchester, which was literally built on manufacturing, we like to show people that the drive to create and manufacture great products in this city is still very much alive. As a city it is important that we show we are moving forward but still know where we came from as a business community. Working with MYP was a great opportunity to share what we do with a new audience.”

Margot explained that Manchberry Lemonade will be a part of Ancient Fire’s “Make a Difference” campaign that runs the month of October. There will be pint nights throughout the month that will have $1 for every pint and growler of selected draft products donated to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. “We think it is the perfect fit for a mead that was made with a professional community group in Manchester be a part of Making a Difference in our community.”
